Dr. Katie Keene-Montgomery
Systems Thinker for Human Problems
Translating how systems shape decision-making, performance, and power into insights professionals and leaders can actually use.
About
The work is about clarity.
My research examined how cultural intelligence and leader-member exchange dynamics shape what people do — and don't do — inside organizations. That same lens is what I bring into every coaching conversation.
I work with professionals, scholars, and leaders who are trying to make sense of where they are and where they're going. My clients have included high-profile performers and artists navigating the particular pressures of public-facing work. The frameworks are evidence-based. The conversations are beautifully human.
I am currently pursuing the Board Certified Coach credential through the Center for Credentialing and Education — an advanced, voluntary certification that goes beyond standard coaching requirements and reflects a commitment to rigorous, evidence-based practice.
Areas of Practice
Coaching that holds.
01
Performance Coaching
Rooted in performance psychology, this work addresses what actually drives sustained output — focus, identity, pressure response, and the mental architecture behind peak performance. Clients include athletes, artists, executives, and anyone operating in high-stakes environments where the margin between good and exceptional is entirely internal.
02
Leadership Coaching
For emerging and mid-level leaders examining how they show up, how they relate to their teams, and where their leadership identity is still forming.
03
Career Development Coaching
For professionals in transition, those reassessing direction, or anyone working through the gap between where they are and what their work is supposed to mean.
04
Academic Coaching
Graduate students and doctoral candidates navigating the particular pressures of scholarly work — dissertation momentum, academic identity, and high-stakes intellectual labor.
